Update on Our Efforts to Keep You Healthy & Safe at
Body Works Fitness & Training Center

As many small businesses in our area are being ever more vigilant in their quest to keep everyone healthy, so we are asking you, our members and guests, to join with us as partners as we ramp up our efforts to keep our community safe and to maintain some normalcy in our day-to-day lives.

Toward these goals, we are asking everyone to help in the following ways:

  • Do not come to the gym if you are feeling ill—even if you think you only have a cold or flu.  And as a precaution, if you have recently traveled internationally, please self-isolate.
  • Wash your hands frequently.  All Body Works staff will be required to wash their hands at least every hour and to wear gloves whenever possible. We are asking our members and guests to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer which is conveniently placed right inside the front door, upon arrival and before you leave.
  • As you work out, please make use of the cleaning wipes, disinfectant, and hand sanitizer stations that are located in numerous places throughout the facility.
  • Please be considerate of your fellow members, and keep a safe distance between yourselves and others.  Experts suggest that we try to maintain at least six feet of personal space between others and ourselves. With this in mind, we are removing many of the spin bikes from our spin room and have directed our class instructors to space out everyone in their classes.  Instituting this standard may mean turning some people away from a class that is too full, but feel free to utilize other spaces in the gym as we have about 12,000 sq. ft. for your workouts.
  • You are our number one priority. To honor our commitment to your health and safety we may have to change our regular hours of operation to deep clean the center, staff the facility, and meet the changing needs of our members.  We will note the changes on FaceBook and with signage throughout the facility.  Please understand schedule changes may happen at the last moment so please check frequently.

All of us at Body Works want our facility to be one of the places you feel most safe so that you can concentrate on your ongoing commitment to physical and mental well-being.

Finally, we’d like to ask you to support our local small businesses as much as possible as they are also implementing changes to keep you safe. Obviously this is a very trying time for everyone, but there is an added stress for small business owners and their employees who rely on the steady patronage of our community. When the immediate threat of this virus abates, we all want to return to the community we started with and to find everyone there—still standing, still vital, still part of who we are.
